Successful Benefit Lunch at El Tamarindo

In case you missed it on Facebook, here are some pix from the delicious lunch last Saturday at El Tamarindo, which raised funds for Language ETC.

The restaurant, at 1785 Florida Avenue NW in Adams Morgan, specializes in Salvadoran and Mexican food. LETC volunteers, staff, and supporters enjoyed such treats as fajitas, enchiladas, tortas mexicanas, and flautas. Best of all, owner José Reyes, an LETC student, generously donated half the proceeds from the lunch to Language ETC. Thank you, José!

Another opportunity is coming up soon to enjoy ourselves while supporting LETC. Don’t miss the cocktail reception on May 10 at the National Geographic Society on M Street. RSVP by May 6. See you there!

Lee Griffith, the weekend volunteer coordinator, and Ashley Lipps, LETC’s Americorps volunteer, welcome guests at El Tamarindo’s benefit for LETC on Saturday, April 23.

Executive director Carolyn Morrissey and friends enjoy the festive environment at El Tamarindo.
